So This Is Christmas.. And What Have We Done?!....

And so christmas is here! As we approach the end of our first full calendar year of trading, we thought we'd take a stroll back through the year and recall all those things we've been upto!

Firstly, 2011 was all about making people aware that we existed, establishing our brand and clarifying (both to potential clients and to ourselves) just who we are and where we're heading as a business.

We set out to introduce people to a whole world of creativity, showing that we aren't just your run of the mill art consultancy. Over the last year, we've commissioned and supplied a diverse range of art & design solutions and loved every minute of it!

So what have we been upto this year? ...

Web Banner Design

Yes! We began the year with something very different to the artwork we normally produce. After spotting the work we'd done on our own site, we were asked to design a web banner to help promote the introduction of a computer gaming feature on a local digital radio station. This involved us coming up with an original design featuring well known computer game characters!

We've since applied our web banner design techniques to our website, online store and partner sites!

Handcrafted Wedding Invitations

Sarah had her work cut out designing and handcrafting all the invitations and menu cards for the wedding of Claire & Martyn Kellett. It wasn't only the bride and groom who were happy with the end results, we were very impressed ourselves!

Competitions

We ran a competition on the website of Real Homes magazine. Our lucky winner, Miss Anna Duda got to take her pick of our artwork upto the value of £250!

We also grew our facebook page with one or two prizedraws, the latest of which will happen as soon as we reach 500 fans. Most recently, Stephanie Llewellyn of Shrewsbury was the lucky winner of a £50 Gift Voucher!

These prizedraws are something we'll look to do more of in the new year, so keep your eye on our regular facebook updates for more details.

Art Search 2011

We launched a search for artists to join our team. Our network of artists has now expanded and includes a variety of both 2D and 3D artists and designer/makers. These commissionable artists now feature on our website and some have ready to ship artwork available through our online store.

The Autumn/Winter Collection

Our new artists were immediately asked to come up with a response to an autumn/winter theme. We assembled this collection into a PDF catalogue showcasing our new artists' talents. If you haven't yet seen the catalogue you can download it by clicking here.

New Services were introduced

We began to offer new services such as Art Rental and Art Sourcing.

We recognised a need for short term loans of artwork, be it for a function or a temporary venue and made it easy for clients to rent art directly from us to suit their needs.

We also sourced artwork for clients, seeking out that rare artwork they'd seen somewhere before but had never quite been able to track down themselves.

We Moved!

Everything changed both personally and professionally as business and home moved to a new place!

We're now based in East Ardsley, just outside Wakefield and just as close to Leeds. It's an ideal location to run the business from, with an office based at home and a workshop just down the road for all the in-house design projects and abstract art commissions. We're close to the motorway networks, close to two major cities in Leeds and Wakefield, not too far from Bradford or Huddersfield and we're just 10 minutes from our old location in Batley, a hotbed of local artistic talent!

Online Store Revamp

We're continuing to grow the online store. It's a slow process as we've had to juggle current projects, all the aforementioned things and the main frontline of the business! But we're getting there!

The store has a sleek new look and has the definitive look and feel of an online shopping website. The aim is to effectively showcase our work and that of our artists on two fronts. Our main website continues to showcase examples of our work and the services we offer, providing you with all the information you need on how we can help on your project. Clicking through to our online store gives the option of ordering prints from our original artwork as well as a whole range of art and craft available to order immediately.

Partnerships

To further increase our appeal to the online retail market, we became a partner company on the website www.giftwrappedandgorgeous.co.uk. This gives us another place to showcase some of our original art prints and paintings. We aim to grow this in the new year, adding the best of the best artwork we offer and offering more personalised and bespoke ranges. To visit our page on 'Gift Wrapped and Gorgeous' click here.

We've also made artwork available to be printed on fabulous designer roller blinds! Thanks to our friends at Creatively Different Roller Blinds some of our original designs can now be made into roller blinds to cover your window! Take a look at our selection on the Creatively Different website.

One to One Tuition

We've been trialing a new tuition scheme, running a course on the basics of digital photography. This course has been running on the basis of private one to one tuition lessons, which I myself have been teaching. The idea been, as with our artwork, to make it bespoke and tailored to the needs of the student.

We hit upon this idea after hearing of many courses and workshops aimed at adults and recently retired people, that were covering the basics but not taking the time to really answer their students questions and ensure they fully understood the techniques they'd learnt.

After we've trialed this scheme a little further, we hope to roll it out on a more permanent basis. Perhaps taking on small groups and workshops and also enlisting the help of our artists to run lessons on their own specialist subject!

Project Proposals

Working with our network of artists, we've put together some exciting art proposals! Most recently, we've submitted proposals for a project at the Trinity Leeds Shopping Complex. The verdict is due in the new year.....

We're very proud of our Autumn/Winter Collection artists. They've submitted some great artwork that we've compiled together into a catalogue.

This catalogue is now available to download online through our website!

It's been months of hard work getting together new artists, asking them to submit work and so on, but now we have a collection of work that represents a seasonal theme, that we can now market!

We're currently sending out our email marketing campaign around interior design professionals, the press releases are out there in the world and all our social media followers know about it!

It's a shame we couldn't have the big launch night we had planned, but all in all, for the very first Entirely Art Seasonal collection, we're pretty pleased!

It just remains to say a big thankyou to all artists involved!

Busy busy busy!

Hi guys..we're still around!

Moving really does take some doing doesn't it?! It's taken a month but we're now finally settling in to the new home/office in East Ardsley!

We've also had projects to juggle and no broadband connection for a while but we've managed!

We're now emerging from those dark days into a bright new world..one where we have access to technology again!

We're now based in East Ardsley, it's handy for two major cities, Leeds and Wakefield. It's not a million miles from Bradford and Huddersfield and It's also not too far from a real creative stronghold of artists and designers in Kirklees!

For now we'll keep cracking on, but we'll start to churn out some more regular updates for you all soon. Keep an eye on the news page on our website as well as this blog. And you can also follow us on Facebook, www.facebook.com/artconsultants.

It's CRAFTfest this weekend!

Work by some of the in-house design team and artists of Entirely Art will be on show throughout this weekends CRAFTfest Event.

This weekend's CRAFTfest is the very first of a hopefully regular online event giving artists and creatives the chance to showcase and sell their wares on an online platform. It's basically a craft fair but without the trawling around in the cold and rain!

It's HOST this weekend!

This weekend we're really looking forward to getting round the many venues and seeing all the artists that make up this years HOST event.

HOST is an annual event that see's artists from all over Kirklees open up their studio's for one weekend. This years open studio trail involves 30 venues and 74 artists all showcasing their work! Visitors are invited to tour around the venues, meet local artists and admire their work.

There are also a series of workshops been held in many of the venues, giving you a chance to get involved.

At Entirely Art, we've had the honour of working with and being associated with many of the artists taking part and we're really looking forward to catching up with a few old faces and meeting some brand new creatives!

In the first of our blog series introducing our latest artistic talent, we feature Leeds based contemporary artist, Jenny Kosmowsky.

In an earlier time, Jenny was a professional opera singer! She sang title roles in productions for over 6 years. Alongside theatre work, she also began writing her own compositions. It was during this time that Jenny began dabbling in the visual art world, working with international visual design houses lending her vocals to film, TV and international art installations.

Inscapes

A project Jenny has recently been working on is her 'Inscapes' series, combining her artwork with her musical talents. It's only fair we let Jenny tell you a little more...

"Inscapes is a collection of artworks recording a journey made by me, as an artist, delving in to my inner/emotional world. It is a journey of REMEMBERING. A reconnecting with the SACRED- the sacred that is all about us; in all we experience; in all we and our material world, ARE.
Each canvas is an exploration; its destination a meeting; a knowing; an understanding; an acceptance; a recognition of the AUTHENTIC ME.

It starts for me with entering in to my body through “ORGASM”. Grounding me inside this vessel of blood and water. Through orgasm I Come home and step in to myself. A profound journey has begun. Through this explosion of sensation comes revelation and the meeting with my inner “GODDESS”. Together we are on a quest. We seek that which is not us but is us, our erotic counter-part; the “GOD”. We are him he is us,together we are complete. I imagine our “First Meeting”; our joining. Two as one. And through our “UNION” comes transcendence.

A new dawn breaks upon my inner landscape and with it comes the knowing that “EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED”. I see that I am a “WARRIORESS”. Like a Phoenix rising from a ceremonial pyre I have travelled from a very dark place. An underworld that denies the sacred and tries to suppress the divine spark that is in all things. Now the “WARRIORESS”, I stand bright and call forth the “SACRED ME”. I am the goddess and she is me, together we are one, truly connected to The All That Is. By “Meeting the Divine” in me I see the divine in all things. Creator and Creation I am a part of The All That Is and the All That Is is a part of me. We are one.

Revelations keep washing over me until nothing seems real. Life seems but an illusion. There is the unknown and the unknowable. That which we can find out and that which in our present form we may never know.

I am confronted with “NO-THING-NESS”.

Boundary-less, untied to a time or place; where things, ownership and knowledge are but an illusion. Not human any more, I am part of The All That Is. I am creation.
Questions ground me. Deliver me back in to my goddess body. But who are you?
The answer holds me tenderly, it has never left my side. I have never left my side. I am “LOVE”. "

'Jacks Fund'

Entirely Art have today learnt of the ’Jack Marshall Brain Tumour Fund’, a cause we are very keen to support. It's a matter that I have particular empathy with, having suffered a brain tumour myself during childhood.

Mine however was minor compared to Jack's inspiring story.

The fund has been set up to support Jack, a 5 year old boy who has a brain tumour, in any way that is required and also to raise awareness of Childhood Brain Tumours in the wider community in order to help future sufferers and their families.

Heading Into Easter With A Spring In Our Step!

As we head into the Easter break (though at least some of my break will be a working one!), we've emerged from a depressing winter with a spring in our step.

After shunning the outdoors for much of the winter months, confining myself to the office or the studio..i'm delighted to announce I have emerged, blinking in the sunlight...taking the studio outdoors! (They'll no doubt be pics to follow!)

There are many things planned for the next few months at EntirelyArt and one by one all will be revealed in good time!

In the meantime however, here's what we've been upto in the last few weeks....

Updates to your Online Shopping Experience: We are constantly adding new products to the EntirelyArt online store. We are also in the process of adding new artists who will now get their own gallery in the online store in which to sell their work. This will make it easier for the artists themselves to direct people to and also allow shoppers to browse for a particular artist quickly.

Clearly defined ways for new artists to become involved: By creating individual galleries in our online store, artists and designers of all levels of experience can use our store as a platform to sell their individual works of art. They can also join our project team, making themselves available for commissions on our bespoke art projects. Art Rental Scheme unveiled: We now have an art rental service, where you can hire our art either on a short of long term basis. This may be useful when trying to sell a home, for short term events or even if you just want to try before you buy. For longer term rentals, this also includes the option to rotate artworks every few months to keep your environment looking fresh and inspirational! Click here to learn more.

Installation: We realise you may not have the time nor the inclination to hang the artwork you have invested in yourself. We aim to take the hassle away from you, hanging all works on site, no matter what the scale of the project. Click here to find out more.

New additions to our Projects team: Tying in nicely with the glorious weather and our reasons for trying to take the studio outdoors is the addition of a wood sculptor to our team. An expert in carving from existing tree stumps, our wood sculptor can enhance any outdoor space or create wooden scupltures for the office. More information can be found here. I'm sure I've forgotten a few things but for now that at least gives you all a brief overview of the additions and unveilings of the last few weeks! We have also been sending out our spring marketing postcards to all clients on our postal mailing list. Our marketing postcards always get some great comments as they are a work of art in themselves! A Working Weekend

All this weekend we will be adding new artwork to the EntirelyArt Online Store.

We're delighted to add the work of digital collage artist, Robin Anderson to our store. Robin has been a part of the EntirelyArt team for a few months now, making himself available to work with us on a variety of projects.

However, we are now also adding his individual work to our store, making his unique digital collage work available to order online as canvas prints. His images are created digitally using a variety of stock images from the Shutterstock website, which are then worked on digitally and merged into individual collage works.

These will be available to view and purchase through our online store next week, but in the meantime here's a sneak preview...

As an art consultant, one of the things I am often asked to do is create an abstract piece that will tie in with a clients decor. This could be something to compliment the existing colours of the clients space or something that simply matches some of those colours.

This can be achieved with the use of colour cards and samples of the wallpapers/furnishings used in the specific environment in which the piece will hang.

Abstract art can be used to provide a focal point to a room, or simply to blend into the background of a room. Artwork can be created across multiple canvases, adding to the visually striking effect that could be achieved.

Plans are now in motion to roll out an Art Rental service!

I'm hoping this "Art For Hire" scheme will offer more flexibility for businesses looking to enhance their workplace or office interior. This art rental service will enable clients to hire our abstract canvas artwork or canvas prints before deciding whether to invest in the art long term.

There will also be the option to hire our art long term, with options to rotate the canvas prints or canvas artwork on display at regular intervals.

There are also advantages for those who only need to fill a wall space for a short period of time, for example if for those showing a property or simply trying to impress a client!

This "Art For Hire" service is still in the early stages of development but i'm really interested to hear what people think of this, so if you have any questions about art rental please get in touch, I'd really like to hear from you.

Hi everybody and welcome to our new blog. You may be familiar with the work we do at EntirelyArt already, but for those who are unfamiliar, below is the opportunity to learn more about the work we do. I 'm Ric Hopwood and I'm the chief art consultant and proprieter of EntirelyArt. I have a background in art and photography. I also create much of the abstract canvas art that we supply to our clients, who include interior designers and architects working in the hospitality and leisure industry.

We supply bespoke art and design work for refurbishments and new builds as well as working with individual clients on their own homes. It is this versatality between both large and small scale projects that allows us to respond to the individual needs of every client that we work with.

Our range of products and services is every expanding but includes the following:

Bespoke Canvas Artwork - Abstract canvas art solutions are generally hand-painted by myself after an extensive consultation with the client. The factors considered are the style and the colours that will best suit the space the original abstract art is intended for, and of course the size of the canvas artwork.

While I myself specialise in abstract canvas art, the network of artists involved with EntirelyArt means there are many different styles and techniques of hand-painted canvas artwork we can provide.

Bespoke Canvas Prints - There are many different factors to consider when selecting the right canvas prints for the venue in which they will be displayed. One of our most simple and effective solutions is to produce original abstract art using a mixture of traditional and digital techniques. This digital art can be produced in any colour and any style to suit the space in which it will be shown.
Our other method for creating individually tailored canvas prints is to enlist the use of our Photography Services. For this, we commission a photographer to photograph a subject most befitting the clients venue. These can then be made into unique bepoke canvas prints. The above mentioned techniques, digital art and photography, can also be used to create Bespoke Framed Prints if required. These framed artworks are sometimes a much more viable and traditional alternative to canvas prints.

Frames are sourced from our local suppliers and each piece of bespoke art is individually mounted and framed ready for hanging.
